Dear CDF members,

This is a friendly reminder about today’s CDF meeting at 3 PM ET. Yuhan (Douglas) Rao at North Carolina Institute for Climate Studies will present on “What does "AI-readiness" mean for geoscience data repositories?”. Hope you can join us.

Below is the connection information and a link to our running notes document, where an agenda is being drafted. Feel free to add to the agenda if you wish.

Subject: [Esip-cdf] Reminder of the February CDF Meeting
Dear CDF members,

This is a reminder that our next CDF meeting is next Wednesday, February 21 at 12:00 PT/3:00 ET. Yuhan (Douglas) Rao at North Carolina Institute for Climate Studies will present on “What does "AI-readiness" mean for geoscience data repositories?”. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are growing in the Earth and space science domain rapidly, which creates opportunities and challenges for geoscience data repositories. During the "Building Upon the EarthCube Community" workshop, FAIR in ML, AI-Readiness, and Reproducibility Research Coordination Network hosted a working session to gather community input to identify key aspects to help geoscience data repositories improve data management practices that can prepare for the growing needs of data-intensive research in geosciences. This presentation will summarize the outcome identified during the working session and open direct conversation with geoscience data facilities on how to plan for the rapid growth of AI in the geoscience community.
