Subject: Upcoming CDF calendar
Dear CDF members,

Here’s a preview of what is planned for the CDF for the next couple of months.

First, we have a poll<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScGW_5YmDJoXW_YYru4hkw9Eq-mb3laoiz1n0tjUPGK1K9r1A/viewform> to check if our current meeting time is still the best. Please fill it out by March 21th.

- We will not have a regular CDF call in March. Many of us have a lot going on around changes to funding streams, hiring freezes, etc…so we’ll take March off to focus on our day jobs. However, if anyone is interested in having an informal discussion about how repositories are being affected by and responding to current events, please let me know. We’d be happy to launch a call as an open community time.

- in April, we will devote the call to planning our summer ESIP session/meeting.

- In May, we will talk about how data facilities are using AI to get their work done (as separate from getting data AI-ready for others). We need your help with this - if you have used AI tools or approaches in some aspect of your repository work, whether it went well or poorly, and are willing to talk to the group for a few minutes about your experience, please let me know.

- in June we will plan a similar meeting around cloud experience: what resources/approaches/technologies have you used, and what were the pros and cons?

- Summer ESIP will take the place of our regular July meeting.

Thank you,

Karen & Nick
