[Esip-documentation] Future directions?

Hi Ted,
This is definitely something to think about. Unfortunately, I have had a
standing meeting during the Documentation Cluster time, so I have been
unable to attend for some time.
One observation (from my corner) is that when you are in the
Documentation/Metadata/Cataloging arena, you can get caught up in its many
aspects - metrics, crosswalking, comparing the pro's and con's of
different standards, resolving the inadequacies of content with various
discovery mechanisms, and so on.
I've noticed that for me, when the connection between the documentation
(metadata) and subject area (data) thins, my attention wanes. I'll take a
look at the other ESIP areas -- are you suggesting that there is better
synergy in other areas?
Thanks,
Kathy
