Howdy folks,
We are seeking a few folks interested in developing and coupling
sensing and eco-hydrological modeling. Let me (drfuka at vt.edu) or
Zachary (email below) know if you have anybody interested... or, of
course, ask them to contact us.

The Department of Biological Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech
seeks a motivated and highly skilled graduate research assistant for a
research position emphasizing environmental sensing and measurement,
watershed system modeling, and analysis of earth and environmental
data. The successful candidate would (1) instrument sites to monitor
water movement and chemical constituents; (2) perform laboratory
analysis; (3) analyze data using statistical techniques; (4) develop
and apply models relevant to agricultural ecosystems. Applicants
should have a background in a relevant field including Agriculture,
Engineering, Earth or Environmental (data) Science, or Hydrology and
Water Resources. Expectations of this position include, but are not
limited to: 1) designing, conducting, analyzing, and presenting
findings from experiments; 2) analyzing data, developing models, and
evaluating analytics for relevant to sensors or related tools; 3)
coordinating, structuring, and overseeing database development and
maintenance relevant to experiments and technologies; and 4) preparing
reports and scientific publications. Please contact Dr Zach Easton
(zeaston at vt.edu) for more information. Additional information about
Biological Systems Engineering and Virginia Tech can be found at
