We welcome David Coyle from the USGS to our next meeting in March: Tuesday April 2nd at 5:00 pm EST (2:00 pm PST). See below for zoom link!
Title: NGWOS Power Subsystem Telemetry
The USGS Next Generation Water Observing System program is generating high-fidelity, real-time data on water quantity, quality, and use to support water-availability predictions and assessments in the Integrated Water Science basins. This research into power subsystems and the telemetering of operational data will provide a standard for hydrographers to reference. At this time there is no reference for the power demands of modems, switches, and data loggers operating in combination with the sequenced and serial monitoring carried out by modern and dated hydrologic instruments. Hope you can join us for a discussion on readiness testing power subsystems and the future of powering the next generation of hydrologic instruments.
David Coyle:
IT Specialist App SW, U. S. Geological Survey, Water Mission Area, Observing Systems Division, Hydrologic Networks Branch, Field Support, R&D/R2O
