We are excited to welcome Alex Crookshanks, a Master's student in Columbia University's Earth and Environmental Engineering program. In her talk, Crookshanks will discuss methods and motivation for creating
<b>site-specific soil water retention curves</b>, as well as her current work expanding this approach beyond the point scale. More specifically, she present her work on developing a new pedotransfer function designed to support broader spatial analyses. </div>

Prior to graduate school, Crookshanks worked as a research technician at Indiana University, where she contributed to the development of the Regional Ecosystem Soil Hydraulic (ReESH) Project - a collaboration with AmeriFlux aimed at generating soil water retention
 curves for flux tower sites. The talk will include a 30 minute presentation and then time for Q&A and discussion.</div>
