Hi folks,
The IMCR controlled vocabulary is up and running, check it out!
<http://vocab.lternet.edu/vocab/registry/index.php> It's organized around the
data life cycle <https://www.dataone.org/data-life-cycle>. Please comment
on the organization of terms and definitions by Friday October 26th.
Comments should be posted to this email thread.
Next steps are to expand the CV to "science domain" terms, thereby
expanding the search capability for users that want to know of software
that works for their particular domain. Contribute science domain terms and
definitions directly to this working document <http://bit.ly/imcrvocab>.
Notes to contributing:
- If your terms don't fall under one of the science domains listed in
the "Domain category top level" sheet, then add the missing science domain,
and add the term to the sheet "Domain subcategories" in the top row of that
sheet.
- Add subcategories below the list of domains in the top row of the
"Domain subcategories" sheet.
- Provide a definition to each subcategory in the sheet "term
definitions" and link from the subcategory to the definition.
Thanks for your contributions!
Colin
