Hello everyone,

This Thursday the Marine Data Cluster will be having a call to review the
guidance document on controlled vocabulary selection.

Before this proposed document can get off the ground, we need volunteers to
do the following:

* Refine sections and identify additional topics that require guidance
* Expand and finalize the list of recommended controlled vocabularies for
each sub-domain
* Identify resources to include in the document
* Assign a person who will format the finished product for cohesion
* Assign editors for text
* Solicit volunteers who will act as decision makers for any proposed
policies (recommend at least 3 people for this role)
* Supply a framework text for participants at a working session at the
Summer ESIP meeting to contribute edits to
* Identify people who will plan and execute sharing of the document if
needed

If you are interested in contributing to any of the above tasks please
attend on Thursday and we will take names and assign sections. Time
remaining will be spent on reviewing the editing process and creating an
issue template.

If you cannot make the meeting on Thursday but are interested in any of
these roles, then please respond via email and we can add your name in your
area of interest.
