Hello all,

We are considering topics for a potential session at the ESIP Summer
Meeting. The meeting will be held in Burlington, Vermont July 18, 2023 to
July 21, 2023.

We are considering the following topics:

1) The White House announced the Year of Open Science
<https://www.whitehouse.gov/ostp/news-updates/2023/01/11/fact-sheet-biden-harris-administration-announces-new-actions-to-advance-open-and-equitable-research/>
and
this is the UN Ocean Decade <https://oceandecade.org/>.
Would people want to participate in a session highlighting some examples of
how the marine data community are addressing these topics?

2) There is a good amount of interest and need for educational materials
for data management for ocean data. This topic would make a good session
topic to include both collecting examples and experiences with presenting
some material on the topic.

3) There are some ML and AI projects underway that we are familiar with.
Are people interested in seeing a series of lightning talks on this topic?

4) A general round table on marine data and the state of the cluster which
we haven't had since its inception.
