Hi everyone,
This is a reminder that *tomorrow Thursday, November 21 at 3pm EST* we will
have this month's DMAC Tech webinar. The webinar will feature guest
speakers Joe Smith and Tim Kearns from the Great Lakes Observing System for
a webinar titled "*Seagull Omics: Integrating Omics Data into a Cloud
First, Internet of Things Oriented Platform for Laurentian Great Lakes Data*“.
We encourage DMAC representatives from the RAs and the marine data
community to attend this webinar to learn more about how Omics data can be
integrated into an IOOS data platform and how it could spur further omics
data collection and analysis in the Great Lakes and Ocean Observing
community at large.
Agenda:
- Introduction to Lake Erie’s Harmful Algal Blooms as waters for Omics
investigations
- How GLOS got invited to handle Omics data by the Cooperative Institute
for Great Lakes Research
- How Seagull was engineered to handle Omics data, and how contributors
send in data
- The current Seagull interface for Omics data and future plans
- Q&A
