Friday June 14 @ 11am PT/2pm ET.
If you have not registered for the Zoom link, do so here (you only need to
do once) Register here

Open to non-NOAA folks too.
On Friday, we will continue our exploration of a simple Convolutional
Neural Networks. We will return to the simple chlorophyll prediction CNN
with SST and salinity as predictors. I will show how to include the land
mask in our model so it can "learn" the land/ocean boundary and we will
learn how to include a seasonality term. See the HackHour website
<https://nmfs-opensci.github.io/NMFSHackDays-2025/>.
With these additions, we will get to a model that starts getting the
spatial details better.
Note if you don't see the NVIDIA option when you go to the JupyterHub
https://nmfs-openscapes.2i2c.cloud/, ping me (here) and I will add you to
the GPU group.
