The AGU Fall Meeting<https://www.agu.org/Fall-Meeting> will be held in San Francisco, CA and online (11-15th December 2023). The meeting theme is: Wide. Open. Science. Session description
Many federal agencies have been providing free, open data for many years. This data has been an important factor in facilitating science and decision making. With the increasing emphasis on open science, agencies are accelerating Wide Open Science by facilitating access to data, software, and publications, and supporting users through hackathons, capacity building, and engagement, concurrently enhancing data governance and data standards. The White House's Year of Open Science further energizes these efforts, making Earth and space data and collaboration more accessible and impactful. NASA's Earth Science Data and Information System (ESDIS) is utilizing multiple tools and approaches to support existing, and accommodate new, users in this rapidly evolving paradigm. This session will highlight how ESDIS is supporting open science. We invite you to submit an abstract highlighting your current user needs' experiences and efforts to broaden the use of NASA data and services in research and real-world applications.
