Dear cluster participants,
ESIP's next Open Science cluster meeting is September 24th at 12pm ET. During this meeting we will focus on the community paper development (co-writing a plan/ outline) and potential speakers for upcoming meetings. In particular, we would like to address several points raised during our last meeting (below).
*
What is the unique perspective that we bring?
*
What are the connections/disconnects between pillars?
*
Are there seminal community papers we should be considering as we identify our unique position?
*
Who (what audience) will the paper be for? What is most meaningful to the individuals involved?
*
Logistical considerations (timing, tasks delegation) in writing and devoting time for the paper
*
Encouraging participation
*
Would alternate times work better for ESIP members?
*
More targeted communication - clear on ramps for participants
*
Connecting with other clusters and their outputs
*
Data Stewardship Committee
*
Sustainable Data Management (recent paper)
Below is the connection info as well as a link to our running notes document.
Best,
Lauren Holian
