Dear Colleagues,
It was great seeing and meeting you during last week's ESIP Winter
Meeting. We continued to impress the ESIP community with our extremely
high productivity, and look forward to this year being a continuation of
the same.

First of all, as committee chair I would like to congratulate Ruth Duerr
and Denise Hills on their well-deserved awards. Both are extremely active
(which is a massive understatement) in our group and in the ESIP Federation
in its entirety. Ruth and Denise -- thank you for your contributions and
keep up the good work.

Second, a note about future telecons. We will *not* convene our regular
telecons during January and February due to the winter meeting and
President's Day, respectively. Our next few monthly telecons will occur at
our customary time of 2 PM Eastern / 11 AM Pacific on the following dates:

   - Monday, March 21
   - Monday, April 18
   - Monday, May 16
   - Monday, June 20
   - (No July telecon due to 7/19 - 7/22 Summer Meeting)

Calendar invites will be forthcoming. Telecons covering specific projects,
such as the monthly Data Management Training calls, will continue as normal.

Third, the notes from our "Report Out and Planning" meeting will be
posted soon. Our student fellow Sophie Hou will send an e-mail when they
are available.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions,
comments, or ideas. I look forward to continuing to serve as chair of this
committee. As discussed during our session, we have a long list of goals
for the upcoming six (6) months, covering various aspects of our
wide-ranging field. I would like to thank everyone for their continued
numerous contributions to this group; it has been nothing short of a
pleasure to work with you.

Best,
Justin
