[Esip-preserve] Data Stewardship Committee Publications

Hi everyone,
I would very much like for the Data Stewardship Committee's webpage to
link to a document providing citations of all the publications that have
came out of our group *as official group efforts*. This will allow us to
broadcast to the broader ESIP community and the world how productive we've
been as well as to demonstrate that we've influenced the broader field of
Data Stewardship. Sophie, Rama, and I have begun working on this task.

To facilitate this effort going forward, I have just shared a google
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZH7tdz8f0p3BvHp9iKJDe4m63knuiV4VgOihwJyytqA/edit>document
with you. If you authored or co-authored a *peer-reviewed publication* as
part of an *official group activity *(i.e., not just everything ever
written by a committee member), please:

   - Add the citation in a format of your choosing to the aforementioned google
   doc
   <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZH7tdz8f0p3BvHp9iKJDe4m63knuiV4VgOihwJyytqA/edit>.
We will use this to add the citations to the newly-created page available
   here
   <http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php?title=Preservation_and_Stewardship/Committee_Publications>
   .
   - *For those without access to google docs:* please e-mail Sophie the
citation(s). Since we don't want to overflow Sophie's e-mail box, please
only do so if you lack access to google docs.

We could extend this endeavor at a later time; for now, let's just focus on
peer-reviewed publications.

For our purposes, an official committee peer-reviewed product fits one or
more of the following categories:

   - was described in a "State of the Federation" Report.
   - was authored by one or more group members under the name of the
committee (e.g. has text in the "acknowledgements" section stating that the
work was done by members of the committee)
   - was the subject of frequent updates or requests for updates during our
   monthly telecons.

Please don't hesitate to contact Rama or me with any questions. We look
forward to seeing the fruits of this effort.

Happy August,
Justin
