Within the message below is a link to the initial results from the recent
Belmont Forum e_infrastructures & data management (e-IDM) workshop in April.
A number of ESIP people participated in the discussion one way or another,
and the Belmont Forum d-IDM group is seeking feedback / comments on these
“actionable outcomes.” We could either contribute as an ESIP group if
there are thoughts about what could / should be included here, or as
individuals, I imagine. I’m happy to coordinate the group effort if that is
desired. Perhaps we could discuss briefly on the Data Stewardship call this
coming Monday?

Nancy

Dear Participants of the Belmont Forum Data Skills Curricula Workshop
Development Workshop,

The team has drafted a list of
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gp5JqUOCLNmROjhA3rtFxPxqtHfzc2fDNKkvu-W
mAm4/edit?usp=sharing> Actionable Outcomes from the workshop for your
review. When finalized, these items will form the recommendations that will
shape the development of data skills training for Belmont Forum funded
researchers. You are invited to review this list and suggest refinements,
clarifications, or additions as you see fit. A more comprehensive overview
of the workshop is available in the
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BPK3F6Kxjf_fRuUl7tzU6yXoFUbHHd_GQCSQiF2
1PqA/edit?usp=sharing> collated notes and raw
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dP3WA01UOz3qWzUOTImAa0pb5WsdacXxTrQxmUu
D0A0/edit?usp=sharing> World Café Discussion notes. Please submit
suggestions by 28 June. The final workshop outcomes will be available for
sharing on the Belmont Forum website, where Lightning Talks from the event
<http://www.bfe-inf.org/info/data-skills-curricula-development-workshop>
are already available.

Thank you all, again, for your invaluable insights and contribution to the
discussion at the workshop. If you have not already taken the event feedback
survey
<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeRIIhvnUnQ78St-G0Etq96KVW_3uEkL1s
jZ8eCQOF896GITQ/viewform?usp=sf_link> , please do so when you have a chance
so we can improve both the direction of discussion and the quality of future
events.

We welcome any options for collaboration or cooperation among agencies, and
look forward to continuing the exchange of ideas.

Best wishes,

Rowena Davis, on behalf of the Belmont Forum e-Infrastructures capacity
building team
