Aloha ESIP Data Stewardship Committee,
There is a request from AGU for help in identifying the 100 most impactful
/ important data sets. Joseph and Steve, cc'ed - active ESIP members, are
already involved, but Susan was hoping we might have additional
representatives join the effort. Note: the timeline is short (see below)
and I am unfortunately tied up with our annual Dept of Energy conference in
a week, which is a bit more intense than usual, as you might imagine.
Please consider this opportunity/ need!
Original email from Shelley Stall below. Please let Susan know if you are
interested.
Cheers,
-Elisha

In an effort to highlight the value of research datasets, the AGU is
publishing a special collection of the 100 most impactful / important
datasets to society / life. The final title is still in the works.
We are reaching out to ESIP to develop the review / selection criteria for
the datasets. This will also inform us on what to include on the nomination
form. This team will be given attribution in the special collection.
If you are interested in participating, please submit your contact
information here. We would like to start receiving dataset nominations by
mid April, so please provide your information by the end of day on March
28th.
Schedule:
1.
Nomination forms submitted: 28 March EOD.
2.
Participants selected and notified: 31 March.
3.
First criteria development meeting: 1 April, 9 - 11 am ET
4.
Second criteria development meeting (if needed): 4 April, 9 - 11 am ET.
If you are not available for all or part of the development meetings, we
can still include you asynchronously.
