[Esip-sample-curation] Physical Sample Cluster meeting May 25th at 5pm EDT

Hello Everyone,

Thank you all to those who completed the doodle poll last month (and sorry
for the delay!  It has been a busy few weeks).

*Our first monthly call will take place on May 25th at 5pm EDT.*  During
the call we will begin development of recommendations for samples for
journals and publishers.

I have reached out to ESIP about generating a meeting room.  I will send an
update when I have more information.

A few updates from around the community....

   - The Research Data Alliance's  Physical Samples and Collections
   Interest Group is working on a '23 things' infographic/FAQ flyer for
   Physical Samples.  To contribute to the content, see this google doc

   .
   - Our cluster will be co-hosting a webinar series with the
   aforementioned PSC IG.
      - The first speakers will be Rory Macneil & Harald Kusch: Supporting
      reproducibility by capturing physical sample data and metadata in a
      connected electronic lab notebook (RSpace) - 30th of June 2 pm
UTC.  I will
      send out more information once available.
      - If you have suggestions for speakers, please let us know.
