<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#212121;mso-ligatures:none">As many of you know (because many of you have contributed!), we have been developing Sample Sharing Guidelines for authors contributing papers to AGU journals. Our goals are
to make samples and associated data more discoverable and reusable, to make it possible to track sample use, and to provide credit when samples and associated data are used. We are now finalizing these guidelines, and starting an associated paper that further
addresses infrastructure and community needs to make sample tracking possible. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
