General Discussion

Hi Everyone,

This forum has been online for a while but I haven't had as much [image:
:clock:] to help build a forum that is worth everyone's time to contribute
and learn from. So, I would like to kick off some changes to help make this
forum a place where each of you come every day to expand, grow, and further
the art and science of community leadership.

General Discussion
<http://www.communityleadershipforum.com/c/general-discussion>

Hi Everyone,

I would like to have a discussion about how we build communities
effectively in China, particularly from a western perspective. More
specifically, I would love to hear from people who have spent time in China
and can offer some cultural insight into how we build great communities.

We finally managed to get CLSxEurope running for this year as a one day

General Discussion
<http://www.communityleadershipforum.com/c/general-discussion>

Hi All,

I would like to figure out a simple means of community projects tapping the
collective insight here on the forum. The kind of use case I am thinking of
here is that a project wants to accomplish a goal, or simply doesn't know
where to start in building a community, and wants to have a simple way to
solicit some guidance.

General Discussion
<http://www.communityleadershipforum.com/c/general-discussion>

When I found out about Discourse, it made me curious about forums. I
bookmarked a few of the sites that had adopted Discourse, then visited them
regularly, assuming that I'd eventually want to chime in. I felt like that
was what I was supposed to do, because if I remember correctly, Discourse's
UI is designed to heavily emphasize/reward reading, and put up road blocks
to posting. If that's what being a part of a forum community is like, then
I was doing it right by reading first, right?
