[esip-semanticweb] Is the ESIP dataset/granule ontology still available online?

Scott:

I found one ontology that contains the entity you are looking for. I don’t have any metadata related to this ontology, so we can’t put it in the portal without at least some information about it.

If the ESIP community has any information related to this ontology that would help us describe it, please send it so we can actually upload it.

Hope this helps.

Isn’t that the promise of the semantic web - can we google for that thing, you remember, it was a presentation a couple of summers ago in the meeting room third door down where the map used a green chloropleth, maybe about some carbon parameter, and I think the grad student was wearing a grey or blue shirt? Fingers crossed for deep learning!

Michael -
It’s the ESIP ontology referenced in Ruth’s sea ice ontologies I’m looking for:

http://www.itsc.uah.edu/esip_data#DataGranule (note: dead link)

which, granted, is likely two doors down the hall but I’m not finding that particular ontology in the portal. I’m trying to sort out the alignment with PROV-ES.

Thanks and no worries,
Soren

Sorry, something at the edge of my mind but I don't think it will help. It's tough to think of a good way to search for that, isn't it?

If you find one or many, it would be great to get a copy of what you find. Would like to get those entries into MMI and/or ORR.

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had a copy of the ontology for datasets/granules they’d be willing to share? I am having no luck accessing the semantic web portal.

Thanks,
Soren
