ESIP's Earth Science ontology portal, http://semanticportal.esipfed.org, has been down for several days due to an air conditioning crash, followed by a power crash, in my server room at the University of South Carolina. I hope this did not inconvenience anyone! Anyhow, it is back up and is stable enough that you can trust it for your research.
