    Dear colleagues,

This is to inform you about a workshop, organised by the INSPIRE Maintenance and Implementation Group [1], specifically focussed on solutions and issues for making spatial data better discoverable on the Web:

    https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/fpfis/wikis/x/Y9kuF

As explained in the call for abstracts, the purpose of the workshop is to carry out an active discussion on implementation experiences, and to gather feedback on good practices, open issues and suggestions for follow-up activities.

The workshop will be held on 3-4 July 2019, in Ispra, Italy, at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission.

The deadline for abstract submission is May, 10th.

    About the background:

This workshop - which follows the Google Dataset Search workshop organised at the INSPIRE 2018 conference [2] - is part of a specific activity of the INSPIRE Maintenance and Implementation Group, triggered by a study [3] assessing the INSPIRE data infrastructure against the SDW BPs, and focussing, in particular, on SDW BP2 ("Make your spatial data indexable by search engines").

    Best,

    Andrea
