List,

At the end of the last telecon, I had an action to write up a session proposal, and post it to slack.Here’s what I just posted there:

I think we’d be best served by proposing a Working Session (i.e., roundtable-style session where participants work together to solve a specific problem) and address the issues:
* _how to we get information from servers_ (the privacy policy question);
* _what role does ESIP play_ (none except that we can propose a project and store data for the duration of the project); and
* _what data exactly do we want_ (I think we have a pretty good handle on this as far a OPeNDAP goes, but maybe not so much for WMS, WCS, ...
* _how do we intend to process these data_ (given that the data from servers often contain information in a query string that seems to befuddle tools like LogStash - a point I believe both Soren and Nathan made at the last meeting).

If you’re not a on slack yet, give it a try. There’s both an app and web interface and it’s pretty nice. Here’s a URL to the web services cluster: https://esip-all.slack.com/messages/C3Z42G2HF/. I think just https://esip-all.slack.com/ will get you to the base ESIP slack <thing>.

Have a good weekend. Talk to you all on Monday @ 1100 MDT, 1300 EDT.

James
