[Esip_dmtraining] Monthly call for Data Management Training Working Group scheduled for tomorrow

Hello, everyone:

I hope you-all will be able to make our monthly call tomorrow, October 6th,
for the Data Management Training Working Group that is scheduled for 9 am
Pacific, 12 noon Eastern.  If all goes well, we'll be able to introduce the
live Beta site for the DMT Clearinghouse - about which the coordinating
committee and I are VERY excited!!  David Bassendine and I are still working
on the site today, but we hope to be able to announce the Live site to at
least the full Data Stewardship Committee by the end of next week.  

 

A draft agenda for tomorrow's discussion follows:

 

1.       Tour of DMT Clearinghouse live site

2.       Next steps for the Clearinghouse:

a.       Invitation to submit content!

                                                               i.
Perhaps authors of ESIP modules could submit their own and also review their
modules to see if they need to be updated or deprecated?

                                                             ii.      Other
sources of learning resources to include?

b.      Thoughts about going for more funding to enhance the site

c.       Planning for public release, marketing and outreach

                                                               i.
Report out to ESIP Data Stewardship call on Monday, October 17th

                                                             ii.
Announcement to ESIP -All

                                                            iii.
Others? 

3.       Planning for ESIP Winter sessions (deadline for submissions is
Monday, October 31st)

4.       Interest in pursuing the development of Core Skills for Data
Professionals 

5.       Reports from other groups?
