Thanks, Allison. I already got a request for a quote from me from one of my SSAI colleagues after seeing your posting in LinkedIn. She want to post it on SSAI’s social media page. Here is the quote I sent her:

“It takes a village” to create a research artifact in general, and a dataset in particular. Determining who must be credited and how is a complex issue, but everyone involved should be credited in some way – included in the list of authors, acknowledged prominently or identified in metadata.
Rama.

Congrats, everyone! I got the link plugged into the ESIP Update (and Megan is planning to include it again in her monthly letter going out the following week). I've got it up as our "Weekend Reading" on LinkedIn, scheduled on Twitter next week when our traffic tends to pick back up, and will continue to RT and share as I see the link come through Eos and any of your institutions or personal accounts.

The article brought up a lot of interesting points and offers some insights on a discussion we had about archiving blog posts.

Thanks,
Allison

How exciting! I copied Allison Mills on the email - she is the ESIP Communications Manager. Figured she would want to know about an ESIP community output in order to advertise it on ESIP channels. Allison, let us know if you need more context/additional information.

Thanks all!
