Hello Everyone,

I am sorry to do this at such last minute, but I need to cancel the telecon for today. Let's just say as a PhD student who is trying to take her comps and teaching at the same time things have just gotten out of my control. We have a regular preservation call next Monday and we can discuss rescheduling options at that time. Look for an email about a summer session on this topic sometime this week. And thank you everyone who emailed me with comments regarding the case study process.

Thanks!
Sarah

Subject: Use Case Telecon 4/1 2pm EST

Hello Everyone,

This Monday April 1st at 2pm est we will have a Telecon to discuss the development of a template for the Use Case examples. Expect an updated email later this week with a link to the telecon (once I figure that out). In order to prepare for the meeting please look at some of the resources below. Feel free to begin discussing the template either here on the list serve or by making updates to the wiki. Any suggestions for summer meeting session plan would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Sarah

Summary of winter meeting goals:
Lead: Sarah Ramdeen
Contributers: Curt Tilmes, Cyndy Chandler

Summary:
Use cases describe example scenarios where various classes of users make use of Earth Science data for a variety of purposes. By exploring the scenarios in detail, we can examine the way data is used today and also think through how it might be used in the future and how improvements in data stewardship can help meet the needs of data users.

Questions:
How does Earth Science get used?
How might it get used in the future?

Deliverables:
Refine Use Case Template
Documented Use Cases

Planned Activities:
Use Case Workshop at ESIP Summer Meeting
Use Case focused telecons
