[Bessig] Google Plus / Google Drive for BESSIG?

Hi all,

I am thrilled that there is interest in this topic!!

Actually, we do have a Facebook page:

It's just that nobody likes us :-(!  Well, that's not really an accurate 
characterization...

I believe a critical piece is someone to champion the effort and put 
some time in to keep things active.  I am very bad at social media (and 
if I've inadvertently offended anyone on Linked In I'm sorry! I didn't 
mean to!).  Honestly, I'm just not a Facebook user.  There, I said it.

I have often wished that the BESSIG had more active "leaders" and 
community activity.  I continue to hope to foster a more distributed 
effort that doesn't depend solely on me.

Lynn, I agree that a discussion regarding targeting our efforts could be 
valuable.  Immediate goals I see are: spread the word about the group, 
provide a place to meet people with common interests, and raise topics 
for discussion and meeting presentations...  What do others think?

Also, as Anna pointed out in a separate email, I think it's important 
and valuable for people to be able to participate as part of their work 
identity.
