Hi all,

Let’s schedule an opportunistic Happy Hour at Backcountry Pizza after this event (thanks for sharing Aaron!), I will contact the organizers and extend the invite to the Mixer participants. It would be great to trade notes with our local government counterparts (and it’s generally been too long since I’ve seen many of you!).

Details:

  * Where – Backcountry Pizza (basically walkable from Norlin)
  * When - Tuesday, April 30 at say 4:30 or 5 or whenever you can make it until the last of us leave
  * Who – All data people (and friends)

Hope to see you there,
Lynn

Join CRDDS and the City of Boulder for a Municipal Data Mixer on April 30!

[cid:16a08daddc14ce8e91]<http://bit.ly/MunicipalDataMixer>

The City of Boulder Open Data Catalog features public data on topics including public and recreational land use, arts and culture, public safety, and energy and utilities use in a variety of useful formats and structures optimized for GIS, visualizations, and other research. In addition to their published open data, the City has a substantial amount of unpublished raw and minimally curated data ripe for investigation.

This catered event will feature lightning talks by CU faculty and local data stewards and is designed to encourage interdisciplinary and cross-organizational collaborations around the use and sharing of municipal data assets.

Interested in giving a lightning talk about a project idea or other uses of municipal data? Sign up for a three minute slot by April 26 at http://bit.ly/DataMixer.

Hope to see you there!
