Speaking of Boulder data check out the Boulder Data Hub -

This has a ton of data concerning Boulder. It is built using RAMADDA (
https://geodesystems.com/) and is a hobby project of mine. The site has
incorporated a number of data sets from Boulder’s open data repository as
well as lots of other sources.

For the earth science folks there is really deep support for a broad range
of earth science data - model, obs, etc. RAMADDA supports data ingest,
metadata harvest, cataloging, search, data access apis, visualization and
interaction
