Hello All,
I hope you are well. I've missed getting to connect these past few years and finally able to start working more with agricultural researchers.
Friday, a researcher in Digital Agriculture got in touch with some questions related to data sharing and his USDA/NIFA proposal for the Climate Aware Farm of the Future call.
He's projected the project will be many TB to a PB, with several years of collecting contextual metadata, ISO can bus data sets, sensor data captured through LoRaWAN, UAV imagery, and video from a variety of body-, machine-, and sensor-cams. He would like to share these data as raw readings so folks can use it for what they need and not strictly as a compact derivative.
We've discussed the Open Storage Network as a possibility, but I wanted to reach out to you all to see if you had recommendations that would be a good fit outside of this. I immediately thought of ESIP and this community when he reached out.
Would you all have any suggestions?
Thanks for your time with this,
I'm looking forward to hopefully connecting again in the near future.
- Reid
