I wanted to let you all know if a very successful workshop StormCenter
Communications put together at the AMS Broadcast Conference in Seattle,
WA last week. Coming off the heels of a very exciting ESIP Federation
meeting, I was pleased to get the press coverage that I refer you to
below. We had distinguished speakers from Harvard Medical School,
including a Nobel Prize Winner, Dr. Eric Chivian, we had speakers from
NASA (Dr. Nancy Maynard) and EPA. The workshop was pegged as one of the
best workshops at any AMS Broadcaster's conference by several in
attendance.

The bottom line is that we are making great strides to deliver the
products and tools to enable those who communicate with MILLIONS of
people about science and the environment. I would like to share the
recent article that appeared in the Seattle Times after the workshop.
These developments clarify in my mind that environmental information is
clearly becoming a part of the daily weathercast. The ESIP Federation
can and will play an increasing role in enabling this outreach. There is
much excitement ahead. Please see the link below from the Seattle Times.
