Everyone,

Registration for the Federation's Winter Conference is now open. The
meeting focuses on "Putting the User First" and will feature prominent
speakers from several federal agencies and elsewhere. The meeting is
being held in Orlando, Florida at the Orlando Renaissance Airport Hotel.
It begins on Sunday, January 4, with a pre-meeting workshop on
"Marketing Data Products". On Monday, January 5, the meeting kicks off
with a poster session and plenary session, featuring invited speaker
Greg Withee, Director of NOAA/NESDIS and a representative from NASA. We
also are looking forward to breakout sessions on Education, Science and
Applications on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Our technical workshops will be better than ever. The workshops will
run concurrently with the meeting, beginning Monday and running through
Wednesday. Wednesday will be a special day, with a technical vendor
exhibition and a keynote address from Reagan Moore of the San Diego
Supercomputing Center (confirmed). The Federation meeting precedes the
next SEEDS meeting, which will take place on January 8 at the same hotel
location.

A separate module for submitting your poster abstract is under
development. Please check your registration confirmation for more
information on this new tool, to be available next week.

Registration is open until December 19. Room reservations must be
secured by December 12. Visit:
