This is to draw your attention to a session: Standards-Based

>  Interoperability Among Tools and Data Services in the Earth Sciences
(IN08)  to be held at the Fall Meeting of the American Geophysical
Union, San Francisco 11-15 December 2006, sponsored by the recently
formed section on Earth and Space Science Informatics. The new
Informatics section recognizes the importance of information management
to earth sciences. Participation in the section offers the opportunity
to influence it's agenda. ESIP members engaged in data and service
interoperability are encouraged to submitt abstracts for the session.The
deadline for abstract submission is 7th September - instructions here
