The summer ESIP meeting is scheduled for July 17-20
(

Many of you are already planning to attend and we wanted to begin preparing
for our meetings in Madison. Sessions discussing air quality topics include:

*Air Quality Interoperability Experiments, lead: S. Falke, R. Husar
(
http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php/Summer_2007_Session:_Air_quality_interoperability_experiments
)
A variety of air quality web services and other service oriented
architecture components have been recently established. The objective of
this session is to demonstrate interoperable connections among services and
discuss future opportunities for interoperable data and service flows. If
you would like to include an interoperability demonstration or presentation,
please add it to the wiki or send an email to stefan at wustl.edu

*Evaluating Sensor Webs for Earth Science Applications, lead: K. Moe (
http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php/Summer_2007_Session:_Evaluating_Sensor_Webs_for_Earth_Science_Applications)

Explore scenarios where sensor web architectures can provide an advantage to
earth science research and/or applications.

*Applying Service-Oriented Architecture Concepts to USGEO Near-Term
Opportunities, lead: K. Fontaine (
http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php/Summer_2007_Session:_Applying_Service-Oriented_Architecture_Concepts_to_USGEO_Near-Term_Opportunities
)
Help the Air Quality and Drought communities identify, design, and explore
the possibility of building tools needed in both communities.

*Air Quality Cluster Meeting, lead: S. Falke, R. Husar
(
http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php/Summer_2007_Session:_Air_quality_cluster_meeting
)
Future plans and activities for coordinating air quality cluster support for
interoperability activities. Please add to the wiki any items you'd like to
cover during the meeting.

The summer meeting is following a loosely structured "Openspace" concept
meaning that agendas won't be set until closer to the meeting date. We are
coordinating among the four sessions to minimize scheduling conflicts.

A telcon time has been reserved for this Friday, June 29 at noon Eastern to
help coordinate the meeting and to answer questions regarding the sessions.
Phone: 866-489-0573
Meeting Code: *2279431*

If you are unable to attend the call but have input to contribute, please
post to the wiki or send email to stefan at wustl.edu

Best regards,
Stefan Falke and Rudy Husar
