The registration for the ASF/GMU SAR course 'Principles and Applications
of Synthetic Aperture Radar' is now open. The details on how to register

"Principles and Applications of Synthetic Aperture Radar" 
Dates:              January 12 - 16, 2009
Class Time:     8:30a-5:00p
Location:         George Mason University, Fairfax, VA

Tuition:     $1,524 


The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF), together with the Alaska
Satellite Facility (ASF) and the George Mason University in Fairfax, VA,
is proud to offer you a two-credit course on Principles and Applications
of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). The course will introduce you to the
world of SAR data acquisition, data processing, and data interpretation.
Its main goal is to demystify the SAR imaging process, to provide you
with an intuitive understanding of the data source, and to equip you
with the tools necessary to apply SAR data to a wide range of
applications. The class is open for students and professionals alike and
combines classroom lectures with project work in the lab. The course
will be taught at the George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
