Subject: EPA System of Registries Conference - You Can't Miss This One!

Dear EPA Partner,

The US EPA's 2009 System of Registries Conference will be held on May 20,
2009 in Washington, DC. This is just six weeks away. Some of you may have
received this invitation via another email. If so, please forgive the
multiple emails. The conference is only one day and will be held at the
George Washington University's Cafritz Conference Center.

The theme this year is "Bringing Meaning to Data: Terminology and Metadata
Services." As this theme suggests, there will be a significant focus on our
new Terminology Services and the importance of terms and definitions to EPA
and its partners. One session will discuss how terminology is changing the
way the world wide web is used, specifically its role in social bookmarking.
Other sessions will showcase new services available to our partners; the
registries are among the services that support EPA's move toward greater use
of shared services.

So please mark your calendar for this informative and interactive event.

Please register by going to the SoR website (www.epa.gov/sor) and then
selecting the Training tab at the top of the screen (the blue circle opens
up the registration screen). Additional details, including the draft agenda
also are available at this site.
