[ESIP-all] January 5, 2011 - Annual ESIP Federation Business Meeting

The annual ESIP Federation Business Meeting will be held on Wednesday,
January 5, 2011 during the Winter ESIP Federation meeting.  An agenda for
the Annual Business Meeting is posted on the wiki at
http://wiki.esipfed.org/index.php/Business_Meeting.  Please note that there
are at least two proposed governance changes on the agenda.  Both proposals
are documented with links on the wiki and have been vetted through various
ESIP Federation Committees.  The wiki allows for discussion of these issues
and I encourage you to share your thoughts about these proposed changes
during the next couple of weeks.  Of course, there also will be sufficient
opportunity to debate the issues during the Business Meeting.

Remote participation in the Business Meeting is welcome and advance notice
of your remote participation is requested.  Simply send an email to Carol
Meyer (carolbmeyer at esipfed.org) to alert us that you will be participating.
Dial-in instructions will be posted to the wiki one week before the meeting.

As a reminder, please be sure your ESIP membership is covered for
participation in the Business Meeting. If the principal Assembly
Representative is unable to attend the meeting (either in person or
remotely), please designate a proxy by send a name to me prior to the start
of the business meeting on January 5.  Please note that a proxy cannot be a
voting member for another ESIP member organization.  Your organization¹s
participation in the Business Meeting is essential for continued successful
operation of the ESIP Federation.
