Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We invite you to submit abstracts to AGU Session IN25: Real Use of Open
Standards and Technologies. We are planning a highly interactive
session of demonstrations and welcome the opportunity to exchange real
results.

*Description*: Developers of data-access technologies face many
challenges in delivering real value to Earth Scientists. Use of open
standards and technologies can reduce cost and complexity, leverage the
work of a larger community, and promote interoperability. We invite
demonstrations of ready-to-use applications for data discovery,
integration and visualization using OpenSearch, OGC-based services and
encodings, netCDF-CF, HDF and other open standards. We encourage candid
recommendations for improvements to the relevant standards. Presenters
will show live demonstrations on self-provided computers. Internet
connectivity is expected in the meeting room and poster area. Simulated
presentations should be prepared as a backup in case of network issues.

Conveners:
David Arctur (darctur at opengeospatial.org)
Marilyn Kaminski (marilynk at nsidc.org)
Nathaniel Booth (nlbooth at usgs.gov)
Mary Jo Brodzik (brodzik)nsidc.org)
