Dear Steve:

I am really sorry to hear of this untimely passing of Greg. He was a dedicated and enthusiastic colleague in Earth science and data systems and a great manager, plus a fine human being. I am sure he will be missed at NASA, the Federation and the community in general. We worked together for many years and I always appreciated his ideas and support. I won't be able to attend the memorial as I in the West Coast but please pass on my condolences to Masha, Olya and Danya.

Friends,
In case you have not heard (and apologies if you have received multiple mailings), I am so sorry to have to inform you that our Greg Leptoukh passed away last night of cardiac arrest. We just learned this shocking news and unfortunately do not have any more details to relate. As soon as I know more information, I will pass it along. I am sure this huge loss is heart felt by all. Greg was a really good man.

Please pass this in on to others I may have missed at this time.

My deepest apologies for having to pass on this terrible news, Steve
