And more applogizes on the whole cross posting thing, as I have a feeling
that there are going to be a few people on both the ESSI and ESIPfed
mailing lists.
Also, not mentioned below, but the 'early' registration period ends on the
Feb 10th (Friday), and RDAP is co-located with the IA Summit, and some of
their Wednesday pre-conference workshops are the day before the RDAP
meeting:

ps. For those keeping track of ESSI & ESIP participation, I'm organizing
the 'Data Citation' panel, both Peter Fox and Kirk Borne are speaking in
the 'Training Data Management Practitioners' panel, and Carol Meyer is
representing ESIP in the 'Data Management Plans and Policies' panel.
pps. They keep labeling it 'Data Citation', but the panel's been given
the topic 'Linking Data and Publications', so it should be more broad than
just data citation.

Call for Posters: The 3rd Research Data Access and Preservation (RDAP) Summit
An ASIS&T Summit
New Orleans, LA, March 22-23, 2012
In cooperation with the Coalition for Networked Information, the third Research Data Access and Preservation (RDAP) summit will take place on March 22-23, 2012 in New Orleans at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans, held in cooperation with the ASIST Information Architecture Summit.
The RDAP Summit will explore the following topics: data management plans and policies; training data management practitioners; discovery of research data; data curation service models; sustainability of data management; and data citation.
The summit will be highly participatory, including panels, lightning talks, a poster session, demonstration sessions, as well as "topic tables" at lunch and a "dine-around" dinner.
Please submit poster abstracts by Feb. 20, 2012 for consideration of being included in the poster session. An abstract should be no more than 300 words, and should be submitted to the conference submission system. http://www.softconf.com/asis/RDAP-12/.
