[ESIP-all] Call for abstracts: AGU Session IN-031: Linked Data for Earth and Space Science

Dear colleagues,

We invite you to submit an abstract for session #IN-031: Linked Data for Earth and Space Science" at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) meeting on 3-7 December 2012 in San Francisco. This session is part of the Earth and Space Science Informatics track. See below for full session description.

Session Description:
	"The interdisciplinary nature of science is leading to an increasing need to integrate data from multiple sources. Linked Data is a methodology that addresses this problem and one that is becoming increasing popular within the Earth and space sciences. This session aims to discuss the range of research approaches leveraging Linked Data. Submissions are encouraged in, but not limited to: - Outcomes of using Linked Data within the Earth and space sciences - Discussions of open source tools that aid/facilitate Linked Data - Reusable scientific vocabularies - Methods for computing similarity/sameAs across linked data sets - Entity Disambiguation - User Interfaces/User interactions with Linked Data."

Abstract submissions are now open at http://fallmeeting.agu.org/2012/ .
The deadline is 8 August 2012. The first author must be an AGU member or sponsored by a member.

This session will be scheduled by AGU as either oral or poster or both, depending on the number and quality of the abstracts submitted. Authors will be informed in September regarding the date and format (oral or poster) of their paper.
