brief presentation by Rob Simmon on Panoply and G.Projector and an
overview of the viz cluster session at the summer meeting: "Frameworks
for Data Visualization."

Two Free tools for Remote Sensing Data Visualization: Panoply and G.Projector

Panoply and G.Projector are two free, multi-platform applications for
visualizing some NetCDF, HDF, and GeoTIFF files. Panoply builds maps
from gridded data files, including color-coding, map overlays,
postscript output, and animations. G.Projector allows reprojection of
geolocated images. Both are developed and distributed by the Goddard
Institute for Space Studies:
