Dear Colleagues:

If the topic seems relevant to your work, please consider submitting an
abstract to the following session of the 2014 Fall AGU Meeting.

Session Title: An Open Source Understanding Framework for Geosciences
Technologies

Session URL:
https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm14/webprogrampreliminary/Session2991.html

Session ID#: 2991
Session Description:
Open source software contributes to scientific data infrastructure by
enabling open science, software stewardship, geoscience software
development, and the processing, management, and dissemination of
scientific data products and services. Collaborative open source software
development offers opportunities for improving quality, community
building, and reducing costs of scientific data systems. Likewise,
environments for publishing open source software can improve the
discovery, development, and adoption of open source software for science.
Presentations in this session describe contributions to the development
and adoption of open source software for science as well as the benefits
of developing, publishing, and using open source software for science.
