I have just sent out the email below to the list of people I have who
participated in one of the six discussions held thus far on Climate
Literacy Collective Impact to get broad input on what is needed to enable
collective impact that supports, coordinates, extends and sustains all of
our efforts to improve climate and energy literacy across the country. .
If you participated and did not get that email let me know and I will add
you to that list.

However, we are interested in getting input from as many as possible. So
if you are interested I invite you to look over the document and provide
comments. You are also invited to participate in future discussions.

Thanks for your input.

Tamara

Subject: Climate Literacy Collective Impact Discussion

Hi Everyone,

BRIEF REQUEST FOR INPUT:

A Google Doc organizing the input from discussions at 6 meetings
concerning Climate Literacy Collective Impact is available at
http://tinyurl.com/mgwndtr. You are receiving this because you
participated in at least one of those meetings. Your comments on this
document are welcome.

MORE DETAILS:

You are receiving this email because you contributed to the discussion
in at least one of the 6 meetings that were held in the last year and a
half focused on getting broad input on what is needed to enable collective
impact on climate and energy literacy that supports, coordinates, extends
and sustains all of our efforts to improve climate and energy literacy
across the country.

The input that all of you have provided has been organized in a Google
document that I am sharing here, http://tinyurl.com/mgwndtr. These
conversations for the most part focused on what was needed from a
overarching backbone organization that would support a network of networks
to increase climate literacy. You are all welcome to take a look and make
comments on this document. We will be getting additional input on this
document at the NSF Discovery Research Discovery Research K12 PI meeting
in Washington DC next week. I am planning on making a summary of this
document after this round of input.

In addition, we have additional meetings scheduled for continued
discussions on climate literacy collective impact that will focus the
conversation on getting input into shaping a common agenda in the context
of the activities of a backbone organization as described in the Google
doc.. The first of those meetings is confirmed as an AGU Workshop at the
AGU San Francisco meeting in December 2014. We will also schedule another
CLEAN Network teleconference to discuss this. We have also proposed
another session at the National Council for Science and the Environment's
Energy and Climate Conference in January 2015. We will let you know the
status of that when we have more information.

Please note that the contact lists used to send out this email are not
perfect. If you know others who participated and are not listed please
include a comment in the Google doc at the Participants item on the first
page. Also, if you have colleagues who would be interested in
participating in the conversation please forward this onto them and ask
them to add their names in a Google doc comment and email me.

Thanks for your contribution to this important conversation.

Tamara
