We're looking for someone at the intersection of science and data with a desire to make an impact across disciplines and on how data is accessed and utilized, bridging scientific needs with the capabilities of technology providers, towards enhancing future scholarly discovery. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications is seeking an Executive Director (ED) to lead the Midwest Big Data Innovation Hub (MBDH), a growing network of partners investing in data and data sciences to address grand challenges for society and science. The ED will provide leadership and management of operational activities and strategic initiatives of the MBDH, lead the ED's Office, participate in strategic planning efforts, and serve as an ex officio member of governance groups for the MBDH, representing the MBDH at various local, regional, and national meetings and events.
