We are planning a *Frontiers **in Climate* special issue on democratizing
data access. We have defined the topic rather broadly including
· data discoverability
· data access
· data and service equity
· data usability
· user interface/engagement/input
· visualization tools
· reproducibility and tracing - after access

We are interested in getting submissions from those already closely
involved on the topic and from those outside the well trodden paths on such
issues. Details at
https://www.frontiersin.org/research-topics/20014/democratizing-data-environmental-data-access-and-its-future
I am also happy to talk with you if you have questions - email is
tiffany.c.vance at noaa.gov

You will note that Frontiers, being an open source journal, has page
charges. Should these be a barrier to anyone submitting, please contact
me. We can work with the Frontiers staff to see how to make things happen.
