Dear colleagues,

We invite you to join us at the 13th International Conference on Climate
Informatics
<https://alan-turing-institute.github.io/climate-informatics-2024/> to be
held at BMA House, London, UK *between 22–24 April 2024*. This year's
conference is supported by the Alan Turing Institute Environment and
Sustainability Grand Challenge
<https://www.turing.ac.uk/research/environment-and-sustainability>.

This annual international conference series brings together researchers
from climate science, computer science, and data science to stimulate
discussion of new ideas, foster new collaborations, grow the community, and
accelerate discovery across disciplinary boundaries. This year, we
accept two different types of submissions that will be reviewed by the
program committee:

1. Full papers (8-page maximum, references not included) of the following
categories
- Methods or Applications papers presenting complete development of new
methods or applications in climate data science
- Dataset papers describing/introducing a new data set that is relevant to
the climate data science community
- Position papers presenting the author's perspectives on specific topics
that concern the climate data science community
** Accepted full papers will be directly published as a special collection
by Environmental Data Science, an open-access journal published by
Cambridge University Press. *

2. Extended abstracts (2-page maximum, references not included) of the
following categories
- summarizing the development of new methods or applications
- summarizing a new data set that is relevant to the climate data science
community
All extended abstracts should include relevant details to allow the
reviewers to assess the quality of the work including methods and
preliminary results.
* *Accepted abstracts will be invited to submit to a special collection by
Environmental Data Science, an open-access journal published by Cambridge
University Press pending an additional journal review process.*

All submissions will be reviewed by program committee reviewers. The
deadline for submissions is *2 February 2024 (Anywhere on Earth)*. More
details about how to prepare your submission can be found on the conference
website
<https://alan-turing-institute.github.io/climate-informatics-2024/submit/>.
If you have questions, please contact us at
climate-informatics-2024 at turing.ac.uk.

We look forward to welcoming you to this year's conference in London!
