[ESIP-all] [Reminder] ESIP Wildfire cluster meeting this Thursday - Rapid Reassessment of Wildfire Risks after Hurricane Helene

Dear all,

This is an invitation to join the ESIP Wildfire Cluster meeting this *Thursday
(06/13) at 4 pm EDT/UTC-4*.

The meeting will feature a guest presentation by Steve Norman (US Forest
Service Southern Research Station) on their work titled *"Rapid
Reassessment of Wildfire Risks After Hurricane Helene"*.

Hurricane Helene left huge areas of the forests in western North Carolina
destroyed creating hazardous conditions and wildfire risks due to increased
fuel as well reduced accessibility for fire mitigation. Steve and the team
used satellite observations to rapidly assess the wildfire risks in the
area after Hurricane Helene which is critical for planning and responses.
