[Esip-datareadiness] Opportunities at 4th NOAA AI Workshop and CF Convention Workshop

Dear cluster members,

Thanks to those who joined the call this Tuesday. There were a lot of great
discussions. You can find the meeting notes from the cluster wiki page (

To follow up, there are two engagement opportunities for people who might
be interested.

1. 4th NOAA AI Workshop (https://noaaai2022.sched.com)

This virtual workshop is planning for a hands-on session for AI-ready data
assessment and a breakout session discussion to focus on different data
types relevant to ocean sciences (e.g., imagery, acoustics, time series,
model data, etc). We are looking for facilitators for these breakout rooms
who can work with the participants on assessment activities and gather
feedback about the assessment process. The session is scheduled for
September 8 (Thursday) 13:30–15:00 MDT (UTC-6).

interested in participating or supporting.

2. 2022 Climate and Forecast Metadata (CF)Convention Workshop (
https://cfconventions.org/Meetings/2022-Workshop.html)

This hybrid workshop has both in-person (Spain) and virtual components. The
organizers are looking for a speaker who may speak about how CF conventions
helped or may be used to help AI/ML application development. If you are
interested in this opportunity, I am happy to help connect you with the
planning team.
